What is the Maybourne Collection?
The Maybourne Collection is the London-focused luxury hotel group that owns and operates Claridge's, The Connaught, and The Berkeley. It is majority-owned by Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). The group was formerly known as the Savoy Group before the Savoy itself was sold to Fairmont. Maybourne's three London properties collectively represent the largest concentration of historic luxury hotel assets under single ownership in the city.
The Maybourne structure matters for principals managing multiple London stays. The three properties share back-of-house infrastructure — including concierge networks, supplier relationships, and HR pipelines — while maintaining deliberately separate front-of-house identities. A principal with established relationships at The Connaught will not find those preferences automatically transferred to Claridge's. Each property operates its own guest recognition system. The shared ownership does not imply a shared guest experience.
